August!!!!

I can't believe it's August already. I've always heard that time goes faster the older you get. Well, next month I'll be another year older and I believe time is passing faster. Actually, I have a theory on the subject and this is it. If you're 10 years old, 1 year is a 10th of your life. If you're 50, 1 year is a 50th of your life, so you see, the years do actually get shorter. ick!

Okay, enough depressing talk about the years getting shorter. This month I will attend Ozarks Romance Authors conference. Something I haven't done in a while. I was a member for many years and held every office. I've missed ORA and I'm glad to be back.

Other than that, everything is about the same around here. We're blessed to be busy in all of our business'. The Barber Shop, The Recording Shop and The Print Shop. Can't beat simple names like that, can ya?

My granddaughter Brittany, as some of you know, has a rare tumor in her leg and the only treatment is in Denver. She was scheduled to go to Denver a couple of months ago, but because of financial reasons, it was postponed until the middle of next month. The doctor, however, is confident they can dissolve the tumor (a cluster of blood vestals called an Hamangioma... which is probably spelled wrong) without invasive surgery. Please pray about that.

I guess I'll let you get back to what your were doing. Look for some updated pictures soon.
